This website is dedicated to the
memory of Ace Bandage Dean.
Ace was a very special cat. He showed up
on our doorstep after being attacked by
dogs at 4 months of age when I was 14.
{Thus his name, Ace Bandage} He never
left! He was our family cat and each
member took care of him until they left
home. When my parents moved I took him
to live with me. He liked to be held and
petted. In fact, if you didn't, he'd claw
you! When he was done with you, he'd turn
his back. Everything was on his terms. If
you didn't let him sleep with you, he'd pull
his hair out. If you went out of town, he'd
leave you a nasty "present" when you came
back. But no cat was ever loved so much.
He died in Feb. 2004 at the ripe age of 23
years old! We love and miss you, Ace!

This fine feline's name is Cooter Bug,
aka 'Coots'. She's one spoiled little
princess (not so little anymore). She
just had her 3rd birthday and is now
adapting to the addition of a new
little friend (Baby Bandit who's about
8 weeks old). Needless to say the
look on her face in this picture is
probably just about what she thinks
about the new addition.

First, Bagheera came to me from a breeder
in Colorado Springs . He came to my home
when he was 3 months old in March of 2006.
He’s been such a joy to have around. He is so
lovable and playful. He is unlike many cats in
the fact that when someone new comes to
my home, he does not run or shy away from
them. He is curious to meet every new
visitor. There are too many funny stories
and pictures to include, but he makes me
laugh all the time with his funny antics and
new ways to make mischief.
After realizing that Bengals are so much fun,
I set out to get another. The same breeder
agreed to let me take Bagheera’s father
home to join our household. Mr. Bo Jangles
(aka: Ruff) is so much fun too, and in his own
different way. He loves water! He never
misses a chance to take a dip in the bath tub
and he often shares the shower with me.
This is so amazing to me because cats usually
steer clear of water. He is so lovable and
friendly just like Bagheera. (Like father,
like son.) These two get along so well and
really give me and my household hours of fun
and love!

This is Stanley . He named himself when I
peeked at my neighbor’s yard and caught him
crying standing on a shovel. The shovel had a
label right under his front two paws: “
Stanley ”:
From the moment he gave me “the look”
(reflected here on the pic) we knew he wasn’
t going anywhere. He sneaked his way into
our lives. First won the dog over, and used
her doggie door… then won my other two
cats, and ate their food. It wasn’t long
before he won our hearts and his rightful
place on our bed at “Threat Time”. We love
him dearly. Oh.. he fetches!.

This is MiMo and Rocky. We adopted them
from the Rappahannock Humane Society in
Fredericksburg , VA. They are about 4
months old and they have the sweetest
personalities ever. I never thought I was a
cat person until my nana had a cat and my
kids fell in love with him. When we came
home from vacation, I looked into adopting a
kitten and I ended up falling in love with
these two beautiful little brothers. They
have totally changed my feelings about cats.
I am smitten over them. They have adapted
so well to my family and we are blessed to
have them in our lives! Rocky is the tan and
white and MiMo is the grey and white. MiMo
is named after my PaPa’s nickname and Rocky
is named because my husband thought that
he threw some good jabs while they were
playing!

Bucky (short for Buckshot George) is, like my
other two cats, a rescue cat. While living on his
own some uncaring and cruel person shot him with
a shotgun (hence the name). This cost him one eye
and some minor brain damage. There are still
several shot pellets under his skin but the vet
decided to leave them rather than performing
addition surgeries. It took awhile to gain his trust
but his friendship made the effort well worth it.
His personality know it amazing and while he never
wants to be held he craves contact. At night he
will curl up on a pillow next to me and will not go to
sleep until he his holding my hand between his
front paws. If, during the night, he wakes up and
the hand is not there he will find it! This requires
him pulling it to his chest with his claws but you do
get use to it. He is finally a happy cat in a home
where he gets attention and love he deserves.
Oddly enough he is not the only one eyed cat in my
household, one of the others was found outside
during the winter and due to frostbite and
infection lost an eye as well. Cats with physical
deformities seem to be the hardest for shelters
to place in a home but to me they are the same as
any other cat needing a family to belong to. Should
you decide to be adopted by a rescue cat don't
pass over one simply because it was injured in the
past but rather follow your heart and take home
the one that needs you the most.

Starr is very special because of the fact she is a
little princess. A couple years ago we got her
from a friend and since then she hasen`t been
the same. She has to eat the #1 best food or no
food at all. She must sleep in the #1 place or no
sleeping at all. She is very spoiled. I`ve had many
complements that she is very beautiful. That's
why Starr is so special.

Chance got his name because it was only by
chance that he survived. I went to the
mailbox one day and heard this awful sound
coming from the woods behind the guard rail
across the road. I went over to check it out
and here comes this tiny kitten barely able
to walk covered with fleas and ticks. We got
him to the vet and it was touch and go but he
made it. I often wonder what his story is and
how he came to be the only kitten I found.
He just went to his one year check up and
weighs 15.2 lbs passing up our other cat,
Rusty. This picture was taken last spring. He
still loves to nap in the playpen and now that
the baby has outgrown her bouncy seat he
naps in that too. He is the most affectionate
cat I've ever seen. My husband jokes that he
is the "finest cat he has ever seen" and that
he has "FINE" written on his side. When he
gets into trouble I tell him what his "FINE"
cat has been up to today. Anyway I sure am
glad that by chance I went to the mailbox
that day and found such a blessing.

This Is Elizabeth Taylor on paper, but I
like to call her Booger.
I rescued her from the streets in Boston,
and she was really sick when I found her.
She had many visits to the Hospital at
first.... She had a terrible cold, and
constant flow of "boogers".
She was so sick that she slept for days.
After she recovered from her cold and was
strong enough to handle an operation, she
had 12 teeth pulled because of neglect in
her early development. All that she has
left are her front teeth, no molars. When
she finally recovered from that, it only
took a matter of days for her to perk up
and start to show her true personality. She
is actually very loving, playful, polite, and
she has a regal way of carrying herself. I
named her Elizabeth Taylor because right
as she began to show me her true
personality a friend of mine bought her a
pink diamond studded collar, and It just
seemed to fit. Even though she had a rough
start, she is a princess to me. (I still call
her booger sometimes..... for some reason I
can't let go of the name.) I think she knows
that I saved her, because she sleeps right
next to my head every night.

This picture is being sent in of our precious
boys, Buckshot and Riley.
When Buckshot (seen on the left) was
younger, he had to have blood transfusions in
order to stay alive and was nursed back to
health by his human daddy!
When we adopted Riley (seen on the right),
he had a high fever over 104 degrees and he
was very sick. He wasn't able to gain
weight because he lacked the enzyme in his
body that helps break down food. He also
repeatedly developed worms which required
attention. With medicine, numerous vet
visits, and lots and lots of loving, Riley has
been nursed back to health and is now a very
healthy (AND PLUMP) three year old baby.
Buckshot and Riley love each other
so much and my boyfriend and I can't
imagine being separated from them!
We can only imagine what Riley was thinking
at the time of this photo, but it makes us
laugh every time we see it!

I have 8 cats so we have lots of fun with
all of them. I work for a mobile groomer
so I am talking to customers all the time
and I have gotten 3 of my cats from
customers that were going to take them
to the pound. I wont let any cat or dog go
to the pound so here is a picture of Brat.
He was my first kitty. He will be 3 on
June 13th and he lives up to his name. He
is the instigator of all the cat doings in the
house. He has a fetish with my printer and
has to be right up there when I am printing
something. Theo there day I came home
and my printer was on the floor of my
office and he knew he was in trouble but it
didn't take long for me to get unmad. My
husband and I spoil all of the cats and 5
dogs. They all get along great!!!

This is Bella and Gino! These cats truly
are my little beauties. Bella is a rare
breed called a Turkish Van. They are
known for their white bodies, orange
spots and ringed tail! She is really
enjoying this bath! She is such a smart
cat. She even knows how to meow
"MAMA"! Gino is also very unique. He has
thumbs and is sooo furry! He loves Bella!
But like a typical woman, she gets fed up
with him every now and then! They are
just enjoying the summer breeze! They
could sit in the window for hours! But
most of all, they are the best cuddlers!
They have to sleep with me every night!
They are amazing!

This is Little Oliver, but most just call him
little freak cause of his two different colored
eyes and his mowhawk. i found him at a
graveyard. my grandfather had just past
away and i had went to put flowers on the
grave and what do i find but a flea bitten,
ear mite infested little kitten with terrible
road rash on his face and legs. Some mean
and terrible person had thrown him out of a
moving vehicle. He looked up and me a
meowed and my heart melted i couldn't
leave this poor little guy. so i scooped him
up and brought him home. After a visit to
the vet and a couple rounds of medication
and he was good as new. Hes is so sweet,
and loving, never passes up a chance to lay
in your lap for affection. he is my little
orphan Oliver that found a home.
