Ace Cat Furniture and ARL of Iowa

The brand of choice. Our Ace Cat Furniture brand is for cat lovers and owners. Our cat trees, cat towers, and cat condos offer stylish fun for everyone at affordable prices. The variety of sizes, colors, and configurations can make it hard to choose! We know cats.We know how much cats enjoy lounging, stalking, and playing on our platforms and perches. They’re comfortable and secure in our hidey-holes. And since our scratching posts given them a proper place to practice their feline instincts, we thought that even disadvantaged cats needed something special, too.
In March 2010, Ace Cat Furniture began a unique relationship with the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL), the state’s largest nonprofit animal shelter. The program goal is to provide shelter cats with resources to support natural enrichment and behaviors. The shelter life.Introduction to a shelter can be very stressful for any animal, perhaps particularly cats. Cats are instinctive hunters, territorial, and don’t adapt to new circumstances easily. In a typical shelter viewing room, several cats are housed together for efficiency’s sake. Unless special fixtures are present, cats will spend their time sitting on the floor, unable to retreat or find comfort in seclusion. This also means that the cats are placed at a disadvantage, low in the field of vision of a prospective adoptive parent. These cats need a boost to help snag the interest of the perfect new parent. How we help. Ace Cat Furniture has partnered with the ARL to help the cats living in its shelters in the Des Moines, IA metro area. Through our initial donation of 20 cat tower models, the viewing rooms in ARL locations are outfitted with models like our Buckingham, Activecat, Windsor, and Manhattan. Our ongoing commitment to the ARL will keep the cats stress-free and in style with quarterly shipments of new products we’re testing and evaluating for the Ace Cat Furniture product line.
At Ace Cat Furniture, we’re giving a little to the shelter cats of Iowa. And we’re getting a whole lot of enjoyment and satisfaction in return.
About the Animal Rescue League of IowaThe Animal Rescue League of Iowa was founded in 1926 and steadily grown to serve the region’s population of stray, abandoned, and neglected animals. In fact, over 19,000 cases from 61 counties were taken in during 2008. The ARL mission is to promote animal welfare, the human animal bond, and prevent the overpopulation of pets. The group works diligently to achieve this through humane education, behavioral training, pet adoption, animal assisted therapy, and spay/neuter programs.
